Peter Kosz was born on July 20, 1988, in Villach, Carinthia. In 1996, he received his first trumpet lessons from Prof. Robert Hofer (GMPU Klagenfurt). After attending the BORG for Music in Spittal, he began studying Concert Trumpet and Instrumental Pedagogy under the guidance of Prof. Stanko Arnold at the KUG (University of Music and Performing Arts Graz) in 2007. In 2011, he started his music education studies in Graz as well.

In 2012, Peter Kosz commenced his role as a trumpet teacher at the music schools of Carinthia. Since 2018, he has been the head of the brass division. This music educator has a wide range of musical aspects to offer. His primary focus lies on the "BlechReiz BrassQuintett." However, he is also present in the jazz and pop realms, as evident from numerous performances with "Mood Music Crew" and "Major7," where he is actively involved. He serves as the Principal Cornet player in the "Brassband Kärnten," and when time allows, he participates in the Brass Ensemble "Brass Generations" (BlechReiz & HoViHoLoHoff). His musical spectrum was enriched by 10 years of experience with the folk-oriented big band "Fegerländer."

Since the autumn of 2022, Peter has been a licensed Burba®Brass teacher and a member of the Burba®Brass Network.
