Moritz Brandenburger, born in Waren (Müritz), began studying the trumpet at the age of 8 in a brass ensemble at the local church and music school. In 2009, he became a student at the “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” University in Leipzig. His teachers included Prof. Peter-Michael Krämer, Lukas Beno, and later Prof. Guido Segers. He completed his studies with a Master of Music degree. Afterward, he continued regular lessons with Sebastian Haas.
Since his student years, Moritz has gained significant experience in various orchestras. From 2013 to 2015, he worked with several ensembles and orchestras, including the Oper Leipzig, Musikalische Komödie Leipzig, the Sächsische Bläserphilharmonie, and the brass ensemble emBRASSment, among others.
In recent years, Moritz has focused primarily on his work as a trumpet teacher. After gaining extensive experience, he was appointed as a full-time trumpet instructor at the “Georg Friedrich Händel” Conservatory in Halle (Saale) in 2019. Since 2024, he has also been teaching trumpet at the “Johann Sebastian Bach” Music School in Leipzig.
